Getting Started with Slim.io
Slim.io is an enterprise Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform purpose-built for detecting, classifying, and protecting sensitive data across cloud storage environments. It operates across AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, and Azure Blob Storage, providing unified visibility into where PII and regulated data resides within your organization.
What Slim.io Does
Slim.io addresses three core challenges in cloud data security:
- Discovery — Continuously scans cloud storage buckets to identify files containing sensitive data such as PII, PHI, PCI, and custom-defined categories.
- Classification — Applies multi-layered detection using regex patterns, ML models, dictionary lookups, and LLM-assisted analysis to categorize findings with confidence scores.
- Protection — Enforces governance policies through tokenization (authenticated AES-256 encryption), masking, quarantine actions, and automated alerting.
